Indian Handcrafts began in 2010, and by 2011 had created a self-titled self-released album. They subsequently went on tour, at which point they were noticed by Cathy Pellow, who soon after signed them to her management and record label, Sargent House. They then went back into the studio with producer Toshi Kasai to create their second album, Civil Disobedience for Losers. Following the release of the album, the band went back out on tour. This included a stint opening for Billy Talent and Red Fang. In August 2013, Indian Handcrafts performed at the Heavy Montreal music festival. In September 2014, Indian Handcrafts toured with Deafheaven.
Kicking off in September 2015 at Riot Fest in Denver, Chicago, and Toronto, the band embarked on a North American Tour which later added bands, Kylesa, Inter Arma, and Irata as support. The duo band's sophomore album, Creeps, was released on October 2, 2015.
